BIRDING IN TIERRA DEL FUEGO - BIRDING IN ARGENTINA


On September 17, began the season birding for the agency (Magellanic Nature tours). It is the first program of this date, and it was really positive and birds were observed as:  Birds: Magellanic Penguin, Silvery Grebe,  Great  Grebe, Black-browed Albatross, Southern Giant Petrel, Southern Fulmar, Neotropic Cormorant, Rock Cormorant, Imperial Cormorant (King Cormorant and Blue Eyed Cormorant,  Black-Crowned Night-Heron, Black-faced Ibis, Chilean Flamingo, Black-Necked Swan, Kelp Goose, Upland Goose, Ashy-Headed Goose, Ruddy-Headed Goose, Crested Duck,  Southern Wigeon, Yellow-billed Pintail, Speckled Teal,  Flightless Steamer Duck, Flying Steamer Duck, Andean Condor (Juvenile/Adult), Turkey Vulture, Cinereous Harrier, Black-Chested Buzzard-Eagle(Juvenile/Adult),White-Throated Caracara, Shouthern-Crested Cararaca, Chimango Caracara, American Kestrel, Magellanic Oystercatcher, Blackish Oystercatcher, Southern Lapwing, Tawny-Throated Dotterel, Two-Banded Plover, Rofous-Chested Dotterel, Magellanic Plover, White rumped Sand Paper, Least Seedsnipe, Snowy Sheathbill, Chilean Skua, Dolphin Gull, Kelp Gull, Brown-Hooded Gull, Austral Pygmy-Owl, Rofous-Legged Owl, Magellanic Woodpecker, Common Miner, Short-Billed Miner, Dark-Bellied Cinclodes, War-Winged Cinclodes,  White-throated Treerunner, Magellanic Tapaculo, Thorn Tailed Rayadito, Fire-Eyed Diucon, Dark-Faced Ground-Tyrant, Cinammon-billied Ground- Tyrant,  Austral Negrito, Tufted Tit-Tyrant, Correndera Pipit, Austral Thrush, Grey-hooded Sierra Finch,  Patagonian Sierra Finch, Yellow-Bridled Finch, Patagonian Yellow-Finch, Rofous-Collared Sparrow, Black-Chinned Siskin, Austral Blackbird, Long-Tailed Meadowlark and House Sparrow.
Mammals: Patagonian Gray Fox, Guanaco, Fuegian Red Fox, Southern sea Lyon, Southern fur Seal.
The MB220 (Birding program) was very interesting for the date of early spring.
