BIRDING IN TIERRA DEL FUEGO NATIONAL PARK

The birding season is officially underway for Magellanic Nature Tours, and we couldn't be more thrilled! Our first program of the season kicked off on September 17, and it was an incredible success.

Our team of expert naturalists led the way, guiding bird enthusiasts through some of Argentina's most beautiful landscapes in search of the country's diverse bird species.

And we weren't disappointed! Some of the incredible birds we observed on this program included:

The Magellanic Woodpecker is a beautiful bird that inhabits the Andean-Patagonian forests of Tierra del Fuego. Its distinct hammering sound on the tree trunks is a telltale sign of its presence, guiding us to observe this magnificent bird in action.

The majestic Andean Condor, soaring high above the rugged peaks of the Andes

The Magellanic Tapaculo is a stunning bird that often surprises us with its dynamic flight as it flits among the fallen trees, shortening the distance between us and this elusive species. Its beauty and agility are truly a sight to behold!
